PHYSICAL THERAPY

Melodie Mattson- Bell, MSPT, OCS - Owner and Director of Rehabilitation Services. Melodie graduated from Loma Linda University with a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy and has been a guest lecturer on several occasions at the LLU School of Allied Health Professions. She is active in the American Physical Therapy Association and is past chairperson of the Inland Counties District. Melodie’s clinical experience is supplemented by board certification as an Orthopedic Certified Specialist

Crystal Lichtenegger, MPT - Crystal graduated from Concordia University in Wisconsin with a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy. . Crystal has extensive experience in treatment of acute and long-term orthopedic and neurological conditions. She works in our 29 Palms clinic.

Susan Brundage, MPT Susan graduated from the University of Wisconsin Parkside with a Bachelors Degree in Biologic Science. She received her Masters in Physical Therapy from the University of Evansville. Her areas of special interests are orthopedics and wound care. She works in our Yucca Valley Clinic.

Joanne Sherr, PT Joanne graduated from Ursinus College with a Bachelors Degree and received a certificate in Physical Therapy from the University of Pennsylvania. She has extensive experience in hospitals having been Department Manager at Desert Hospital and also in home care with the VNA..

Peggy Ventris, PTA - Peggy graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelors Degree in Biology. She successfully challenged the PTA State certification. Her areas of special interest are acute care, geriatrics, pediatrics, and lymphadema management.

Shawnna Laymon, PTA Shawnna graduated from Loma Linda University’s Physical Therapist Assistant program. Shawnna was instrumental in establishing the rehab program at the Hi-Desert Medical Center’s Continuing Care Center. She specializes in neurological disorders and Soft Tissue Mobilization.

Emily Bacon, PTA  Emily graduated from the Physical Therapist Assistant program of Suffolk Community College, Long Island, NY. She specializes in outpatient orthopedics. She  specializes in pediatrics and orthopedics.

Kris Hintzman, PTA  Kris graduated from the University of California, Davis with a Bachelors Degree in Biological Sciences. She also graduated from Loma Linda University's Physical Therapist Assistant Program. Kris was instrumental in opening the Yucca Valley Clinic, has experience in pediatrics and home care, but specializes in orthopedics.

 

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY

Susan Hurley, OTR  Susan graduated with honors from Indiana UniversityIndianapolis with a Bachelors Degree in Occupational Therapy. She has extensive experience in home health, hospitals and outpatients. Susan has coordinated therapy for Morongo Unified Schools and works from our Yucca Valley office.

Jennifer Prutch, OTR  Jennifer graduated from the University of Montreal with a Baccalaureate Degree in Occupational Therapy. She has extensive experience in hospital and outpatient therapy. Jennifer is currently specializing in UE injuries and pediatrics and works from our 29 Palms office.

Shelly Woodruff, COTA  Shelly graduated from Loma Linda University’s Occupational Therapy Assistant program. She has experience in adult dysfunction, outpatient psych, and now specializes in pediatrics.

SPEECH AND LANGUAGE THERAPY

Alexa Ingram-Dupart, MS Alexa graduated from the University of New Mexico with a degree in Speech/Language Pathology. She has experience providing services for the adult and geriatric population in an inpatient setting. Alexa is employed by the local school district and works part time for HDPRG.
